His return has made me smile

I did politely say
Just say something nice for once
And I'll be on my way
He looked at me and sighed
For he was sleepward bound
He didn't say a word
Just made a farting sound
Well! You moody mollusc
I weren't expecting this
I expected something rude
But that just takes the piss!
You used to be the treesnail
Now you're on a rubbish bin
A precarious situation
One you cannot hope to win
Each occasion that I've found you
I've only tried to help
But you're so very impolite
You ungrateful, slimy whelp
I've threatened you with flight
And I've threatened you with cooking
You're so rude, I may squish you
(When nobody is looking)
No, I think I'll leave you
For it's pelting down with rain
Oh rotten luck, you've come unstuck
And you're heading for the drain...
