Daisy sat down against the cold stone wall of the cave, her eyelids droopy. Despite the hard, stone floor, the roar of the waterfall and the occasional droplet of water hitting her face, she fell asleep quickly. The boy however did not. His eyes shifted everywhere, never settling in one place for more than two seconds. They looked like they had all the energy in the world, whereas his body showed every sign of fatigue.
His eyes shifted to one spot, just under the waterfall where the water hits the lake below and foam sprays out at all angles. There was a dark figure swimming towards them.
The boy shook Daisy's arm violently and her eyes flickered open "jack" she said drowsily, turning her head to face him.
"Get up!" Jack whispered so loud it was more of a shout "someone's coming"
Daisy's head lifted of the floor to see why she was being woken up so soon after falling asleep. Her staring, distant eyes moved slowly towards the dark shape in the water and and grew wider as she realised what was going on.
