Before you
I was feral, wild and free
Then you came
You were tender to me
I was hard
A tough nut to crack
With you
All defences fell flat
I never wanted
To be loved so much
With you
I surrender to your touch
Inner chains
Had held me for so long
All feelings
Just felt so very wrong
It became
A way of life for me
Until you
I wanted to be free
I looked at you
Something stirred deep inside
Something I feared
Had long since died
For once
I wanted to be held
My eyes
Tears began to well
Confusion set in
What were you doing to me?
Was this real
Or some cruel trickery?
Just when
I was about to turn and run
You held me
Something beautiful had begun
All my fears
Turned to a golden dust
In you
I found love and deep trust
Before you
I was feral, wild and free
Then you
Showed tenderness to me
