A Hell Of A Warning

I fell further and further
And the further I fell
I got closer and closer
To the fires of hell

Perched at the precipice
With a view of the flames
My feet start to bubble
As my skin melts away

Right at that moment
I'm pulled from the depths
Brought back to earth
As if never I'd left

A voice voices virtues
A voice I've not known
"I've shown you your future"
In a rich righteous tone

"The life that you're living
Leads you down there
May the scars on your feet
Influence you from here"

"May the memory of the heat
And recollection of the fall
Be reason enough
For you to heed this last call"

I think I was shown hell
To prove heaven is true
Given one last chance
For my life to start new

So I'll live a life
Full of life and love
And I'll right my wrongs
With a little help from above
