A quick way to knock one out
For the urge & the need to write
When finding time is causing strife
No time to give your work undivided attention
A quick post is all it took, for some self gratification
A flick of the wrist and text is typed
So if you feel the need to write
Knock one out its all the hype
Write 'cause its what your all about
No need to feel guilt or feel shame
We all are writers bashing out words the same
Spurting, squirting words galore
Write poems, stories, scripts like whores

@Lyceumo asked whether we write for ourselves or for an audience. I agree with @KT77 , in that both are motivations. I write because I enjoy the creation of texts and I do pain over them.
