and give me a cheeky smile.
I love your soft skin next to mine
for you I would go that extra mile.
I love the way you play with my hair
even when it's pulling.
I love your warmth your smell and
the time we spend just cuddling.
I love the connection I feel when
I hold you close to my breast.
This overwhelming love that consumes
being a mum is simply the best.

You are the only person. Who's heard the constant rhythm of my heart. You know how it sounds from deep within. That heart that loved you from the start. Never will a day go by.
One of my few attempts at non-rhyming (more towards free-verse) poetry. I don't know what drips from my mother's fingers while she sleeps.
A mother sings to daughter, Her baby girl asleep, The mother finally falls down, And in her hands does weep.
