You hold onto all who's lived and died
Your emotions and feelings can't hide
You get out what you put into this life
We all take our fair share of pain and strife
Some live and laugh till their full
Some push whilst others pull
I hold my head up and walk tall
Waiting for your next phone call
Who lives in sorrow?
What do we borrow?
Why wait for tomorrow?
When we don't follow?
Where do we all go?
How do we know?
Wild celebrations late last night
In remembrance of a fuller life
Man died and left his suffering wife
She couldn't have kids and didn't ask why
Love lasts in memories
Love lives eternally
Love caught and captured me
Loved is all we want to be
I saw you in an old photograph
You looked like you had a good laugh
Your eyes said love would last
But your wife still lives in the past
Who deserves a love that's still?
Frozen in time with cold chills
Nothing left or given in a paupers will
Memories of us captured in a photograph upon a hill
Climbing that hill we felt alive
You smiled with a love that never hides
With your beautiful young wife at your side
But now she's a shadow of her former self
My promise was to always try and help
