I think I fell off my perch
The day I went too church
You raised me up so high
Then left me out too dry
You claimed that you had had it
but it's just your dirty habits
Lying, bleeding, cheating
In all of the four seasons
Your not built on holy ground
You just spun it all around
Three sixty degree heat
Simmering beneath my feet
But I rise up from these ashes
With a new vision that matches
My heart, my soul and my love too
Yes I'm way up here above you
Your head is filled with fire
As you watch me rise up higher
Sitting down there on your throne
All sad and on your own
Nobody wants your hollow pity
Because you tried and fooled me.
Now you created yet more lies
But you've used up all your alibis
So I'll watch on with a smile
As you crumble in denial
All I have is hope
That you will love another bloke
Yes one day you will be laughing
Or is it just wishful thinking,
To think that you are winning?
How did you like this story?
