To The Dreamers At The Waterfront

and others who find themselves in this way

We are sick with sickness
Tired of sleeplessness
Guilty of terrible guilts
Never hope to find hope
Unable to cope with everything
We makes ourselves nothing
We want to shrink
To blink out

There's this black cloud
Covering the world
It makes a haze of days
Where bed's the only
Landscape we want to see
Can't fail at lying there

It taints and blinds
Sucks out the joy
We're numb
And even sadness
Holds no sway;
We pray for the end of day

And at the edge we stare
With empty eyes
Making tiny, misdirected cries -
'lock the door behind me -
I'm going out for good.'

But the edge is still an edge
It has a limit, this black cloud,
And one day it will move,
All rained out.
You will look back,
Memories vaguely shadowed
But you'll live,
And for knowing that dark
Life will be the brighter

I read your words,
I glimpsed your heart
Even from your cloud
You shine
You have no right
To rob the world of
Your furiously dazzling mind
Your understanding eye
The glory that you are
Just one breath
More wondrous than
You can possibly see

Just think:
Already with few words
You touched others,
Made them think, create, respond
Made them slightly more alive!
You did this.

Just think:
We are all dreamers
In this place
And we stand and watch the stars
Together at the waterfront.
Never alone.

Don't Cage Up, Talk

It is OK to talk, About feeling suicidal. Don't feel the need to walk, Even if your emotions are tidal. There is no good time. No easier path. It isn't a crime, To work out the math.

There always has to be hope

This is beautiful! @wolfie your amazing :)

@leelee101 thanks lee .. I really hope so. So much

@Delilah thanks :-) do you think words could do that? What pulled you back if it's not too personal

@aleishagayle20 thanks aleisha. You ok today?

@glensaggs cheers mate. Can't really be a 5 tea one!

@wolfie yeah happy monday remember haha ๐Ÿ˜Š thanks tho hun

@ckahn did you see @waterfrontdreamer 's post? It's heartbreaking

@PoppyA I really hope so - ta :-)

@wolfie sure they can words are powerful things ๐Ÿ˜Š a lot of stuff mainly my faith I'm a born-again Christian and it was sort of the belief that God has a bigger plan for my life and I can honestly say while I was looking at all these sites about where to buy piano wire and how best to tie a noose I just felt something in me saying 'Stop this is not what I want you to do.' And I know I must sound a tad crazy but that's what happened. And of course then I started thinking about my family and what I had ahead of me and what I was actually living for and when I weighed up the reasons why I was doing it against the reasons why I shouldn't it was obvious I shouldn't. And finally in my dramatic monologue there's of course the belief in my religion that people who take their own lives don't go to heaven which I know sparks loads of debates about mortality and atheism and what not but hey that's what the Bible was taught to me as. But I can say I'm not afraid of Death now because of it all ๐Ÿ˜Š

@wolfie yeah because it has a powerful meaning mate ๐Ÿ‘

@wolfie yes. I found her after your post. I wrote her a comment on one of her pieces. Hope it does some good. She has talent.

@IndiaSparrow thanks. You're too kin

...d! Lol sausage fingers strike again

@Stablish I saw the piece you wrote . Left a comment there. Anyone spoken to her since?

@wolfie it's the truth! And what she posted is heartbreaking, but it's good to know that people like you are there using your talent to help her in her time of need! That means a lot

@ckahn she does. Here's hopin'

@wolfie As far as I know she has gone to bed, she is american hopefully we will here from her tomorrow. She got a lot of support from all opussians so let's pray she makes it through.

@Delilah I know words have power really. They can do damage or good frighteningly easily. I'm glad you had enough in your life to pull you back

@wolfie thanks as am I ๐Ÿ˜Š and I hope this doesn't sound sick or anything but I don't regret it the whole experience

@IndiaSparrow @Stablish I think that's the phenomenon that is Opuss. For whatever reason, Opuss seems to have attracted people who have few agendas or over-reaching cynicism. And yeh, I know that both of those things are part of human nature but they never seem to stop people being supportive, positive and sorta... Loyal... To other opussians. Something I've never found anywhere else.

@Delilah (and thanks for sharing that)

@wolfie haha no problem it's good to get this stuff out sometimes

Really totally heart felt. Beautiful Sir, I'm certain that will bring her comfort :)

@wolfie it's something I've never experienced anywhere else. We all seem willing to pull together to help each other out, which is truly inspirational. Yes, there's always going to be the odd person who doesn't share in the community we have here, but that's just the way it goes. I'm proud to be a part of this community of ours.

@Stablish well actually American time is 5 hours behind not ahead so it is the middle of the day in America

@IndiaSparrow here here the human spirit can be marvellous

@IndiaSparrow @wolfie Couldn't agree more, this place will always have a special place in my heart, it's a shame I can't spend more time, at the moment I am writing from work and have been all day. There isn't a better more caring group of people to come home to.

@Stablish @Delilah @wolfie I have been a mber of opuss for just over a week, and already I feel loyal towards this place and the amazing people in it. It's people like you who can make my day with just a few words, so thank you for making this app special.

*member (why put m next to backspace!) -.-

@wolfie @Delilah @Weirdwolf agreed. Opuss has developed into something powerful - a tight knit community. It's a beautiful thing

@Stablish @IndiaSparrow @ckahn @wolfie yes it is a comfort to know there's folks out there who do appreciate you whether for your work or who you are and who can band together to help people in dark places

@Weirdwolf thanks. I think the collected rallying on Opuss must offer a bit of tlc

@IndiaSparrow well said :-) @Delilah it can!!! @Stablish All those soul mates :-) @IndiaSparrow is it only a week? Seems like you been here forever

It'll be two weeks on Friday @wolfie but I already feel like a part of Opuss! It's fantastic :) if it's any consolation, I feel like I've been here forever too :P

Beautiful deep words :)

@sjw thanks :-)
