The Island Of Black

I can't be cheerful today because my mood has somewhat dimmed since my last post.

Funny isn't it.

Not.

One minute you're flying high on a breeze of positivity and the next you're far, far away on the Island Of Black.

Not a pleasant place to be. Not even a cheery cup of tea brings a tinkle of joy in this dark and dank place I call my mind.

We do not entertain many visitors here, and although the place is crowded with others, not one of them sees me.

The Island is a place we all visit from time to time isn't it. Yet such is the enigma of the place, nobody seems to know how we got here.

Odd that such a place so well trodden can only be found by a simple downturn of spirit. If I could I'd draw a map of the route to get here, showing markers at strategic points.

You'd know then if you were headed here, wouldn't you?

But alas it is beyond me and like all others, I must wait for a breeze to blow in, then I can be hoisted high above, like a kite, to once again soar high on the jet stream of life.

Or....maybe not.

Exhaustion is a place I visit a lot. Its not on any map. But all roads lead there. It's a place where I discover tears, emotions torn to shreds. Sensitive to the slightest word or touch.

Gosh thanks Poppy. Actually it seemed that writing about it dragged me out. Great. It's awful though (also called the Blues)!!! Thanks tho Poppy you're a star.

This is great stuff know how you feel some day just not worth getting out of bed for πŸ˜’ but hope you feel better soon 😊

I'm up there with the clouds now pet. Just writing about brings in the breeze ☺

@yowwa The Island of Black gets to all of us, but then of course it goes away :)

It does indeed young Ash. It goes so much faster when you write about it too (as I discovered). Bless you for your kind comments.

Getting off the island always seems harder than getting there. Hope you grow some wings and fly free soon hugs

@yowwa Ah, I see you are already up again :D yay :D

So nice of you to say Redfae really it is. I generally pop in to the island about once a month. Maybe I'll see you there one bleak day ☺
