A spooky(ish) story without a name. If people enjoy it, I'll continue the second part. Either way, enjoy!
Stretching, I awoke from my sleep. As usual the birds sang cheerfully as ever. I hopped out of my bed and got changed, then walked downstairs. My mother beamed a smile at me and gave me breakfast, then sent me out to see Frank.
Frank was pacing around the village, which is odd for him. Normally he over sleeps. Worried I walked over to Frank. "Hey Fra--"
He immediately jumped. Startled. Pale as snow. "Di-- Oh, Scarlet.. It's only you. Thank God.." he muttered. Then he lifted his head and managed to pull a smile.
I frowned. Something was wrong. "Frank, something the matter?" I asked. Quickly he shook his head.
"No, no."
Something was the matter. I knew it. The way he was biting his lip and staring down, with his knee bouncing up and down over and over. I was about to ask again, but he quickly interrupted. "Scarlet, you forgot your bag again. You silly goose." he laughed. I looked down. And I had. I laughed too, then set off to get it.
I walked in the door of my house. "Mum? Mum!" I called out. There was no reply. Darkness filled the room. I couldn't see. A cold breeze brushed against my skin. I shivered. The coldness increased. I walked to the wall and felt it. Liquid met my hand. A warm liquid. Then I heard a whisper. "Scarlet.." it said. "He lied to me, Scarlet.. He lied." the voice sounded familiar, but I couldn't quite make out who it was. Or what.
Fortunately I found the stairs. I walked up and into my bedroom. Then I felt for the light switch. Handy that I remembered where it was. I flicked the switch. Then fell to my knees.
"HE LIED" was written across my wall in red. Red. Blood. "HE LIED SCARLET. HE LIED." yelled a voice. I grabbed my head. I started screaming. "Who are you? What's happening?!" I cried. "RUN SCARLET. HE'LL LIE TO YOU. SCARLET HE LIED." I started crying more. I didn't know what was happening. Didn't know what to do. I felt the breeze again. On my shoulders. Then whispering in my ear. "Scarlet. He'll lie to you too." I closed my eyes shut.
"What are you talking about?! I don't know, I DON'T UNDERSTAND!" I shrieked. Then another voice called my name. I was picked up. Taken away. Opening my eyes briefly, I saw one thing. A figure.
