Just another day. That’s how all strange things start, I guess. Just lazing about on the office chair, half-dazed, scanning through data of old cases on my computer screen. The room around me felt just as lazy as I did. It was another Friday, and everyone felt ready to go home. It was the beep of the lift that dragged me from my daze. Detective Wells emerged from the slivery walls, with a yellow file in his hands, with an unmistakable, bright red stamp, with one clear word: URGENT. As he walked through the office, my bones started tingling. I realised that a new case was on my hands, a new murder.
“Detective Hudson, we have a new case!”
“Great, what is it?” I replied, anxious to find out my new job
“A man has been found dead, with nothing but an incision to his heart and chest” came Wells’s reply
Looks like a case of a broken heart, I joked to myself in my head. New to the job, I hadn’t quite wrapped my head around the fact that it was murders that I was dealing with. I was trying to find people who would kill without warning, take another person’s life. It was still all fun and games.
“Let’s walk and talk” I announced, bouncing off of my chair with newly found energy
As we headed into the lift and I pushed the 0 button, I already began to prepare my mind for the mission ahead.
“Detective Hudson, where do you want to go first? The forensics lab to find out test results, or to the crime scene?”
YOU DECIDE:
1: Go to the Forensics lab
2: Go to the Crime Scene
