I once heard of an object,
Oh so peculiar,
That did not decide to be round.
Now, being a ball,
This was quite strange and all,
And my questions began to mound.
When you would drop the ball,
Not a single bounce,
Or boing, or ping, or bop.
No, this ball would not wibble or wobble,
Nor fibble nor fobble,
This ball would not tumble or flop.
Now why, you may ask,
Would one build such a thing,
Would one create such a worthless invention?
I wondered this too,
But of course I really knew,
The true motives, the actual direction.
For you see, the ball was not to boing,
Or bounce, or wobble, or fall,
This ball was simply to be.
However strange it seems,
Even though your interest teems,
You cannot see it, or let your questions free.
Now that you know
Of the Square Ball,
You can go and spread the word.
You should tell young and old,
You should tell scared and bold,
Of the ball that is quite absurd!
