Household Challenge

L,l,l,ladies & Gentlemen!!!

As you may have noticed I had OBVIOUS heatstroke earlier by thinking evolution happened in the household, personally I blame Spider Venom.

Therefore, today's 'Household Challenge' Is........

LOINCLOTH

Rules:

Your entry must include the above word.

Your entry must be written and not drawn?? That's a stupid rule, obviously the spider venom again!

Please include:
#household on your post.

Please tag @weirdwolf in comments so I can enjoy reading your entries.

I look forward to announcing the winners when the competition ends at 6pm tomorrow.

The winner will be blessed with many fine camels and can also receive a magical loincloth worn today in the Jungles of Essex!!

Good luck you Beautiful People!!!

Ready......

Set.......

Go!!!!!!!

Just the camels thanks. Just the camels...๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿซ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿซ

@leelee101 I'm wearing it now, and it's not getting washed, "Scent of a Weirdwolf, fuck old spice!"

Do you have many loincloths in your household??! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

@sjw of course!! I am the Jungle King of Essex!!! It's quite a long one too, practically a sarong to cover my shl....... ๐Ÿ˜ท

@Weirdwolf steady...you might set her off again! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

@DiamondGhost it's what Tarzan wears to cover his bits, Spartacus style ๐Ÿ˜‰

@leelee101 I hope so ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’ฆ

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿซ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ‘™๐Ÿ‘™๐Ÿ‘™๐Ÿ‘™๐Ÿ‘™

I thought this challenge was called 'household' not 'random silly word' ....

@brownowl2012 ๐Ÿ˜ณ don't let Spartacus hear you say that!!! Loincloths a perfectly sensible word in some under developed country's ๐Ÿ˜œ

Stop bragging!! ๐Ÿ˜œ

@Weirdwolf A loincloth is a piece of clothing not a household object. I can't help feeling that this, mullet and to a certain extent cushion have been chosen just so silly rude rhymes can be made.

@sjw I borrowed it off someone else ๐Ÿ˜’

@brownowl2012 not at all, I chose loincloth as a challenge, mainly because of the laugh myself and my friends had talking about gardening today. But take it as you will, no offence intended. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

@brownowl2012 your right though, it is a piece of clothing, and if I ever win again, which I kinda hope I don't now, I'll choose: Plug socket

@Weirdwolf I'm not overly offended & this isn't meant as a personal attack on you I'm just frustrated that the challenge is not what it used to be. That's partly because of the words being chosen, partly because of how certain people are choosing to interpret them and partly because of the type of posts being made winners.

@brownowl2012 oh.... Ok, I've been back a week or so, my apologies for getting it so badly wrong, I seem to have upset a few people with this. ๐Ÿ˜”

Lol, I will still do a evolution acrostic, I liked the idea, however unfitting. Hope the venom has worn off๐Ÿ˜‚

Meh, I've got no affinity with 'loincloth' myself, unfortunately. But hey, as they say 'you can't please all the people, all of the time...' ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜š@Weirdwolf

@Stablish me too my friend, thought it would be a good one, I just got the wrong end of the stick.

@Stablish look forward to reading it!! ๐Ÿ˜‰

@MrsS this is true, thanks ๐Ÿ˜‰

@brownowl2012 ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ are you serious?? Geeesh!! It's ment to be fun isn't it?? Loincloth = clothes, clothes kept in a house, therefore isn't it correct to be in the household challenge?? ๐Ÿ˜

@smellyfingers Personally I think of clothing and household objects as different things. To me household means a chair or a cup or a tv etc

@smellyfingers and yes its meant to be fun but that shouldn't be to the detriment of the quality of work that I know Opussians can produce

@brownowl2012 are you saying that people's work is not of great quality due to one word??? I find that quote daft to be honest, naturally not everyone will be inspired by a certain word but doesn't mean quality of work will be effected, surely?? I thought household challenge was anything that's kept in a house, not just everyday objects, the challenge would run its course pretty quick if that was the case? (chair, table, curtains, bed ect) I'm curious to know what word you would choose to inspire/challenge others??

@smellyfingers I'm saying that I personally feel that many of the entries for the last couple of words have focused on rude content or silly rhymes just for the sake of it rather than syllable pattern, literary flow etc which are what can make the difference between a good piece and a great piece.

@smellyfingers As for what I would suggest... I think 'fireplace' would be a good one. True it may not inspire everyone straight away but I think it gives a good range of options to build on.

@brownowl2012 yes but the winner(s) have asked for rhymes/limericks ect, some people want to read funny stuff, others want to be serious and competitive. Ok I'm going to be honest with you here.....do you think your entry into the loincloth challenge is a winning piece? Would you say it has literary flow and a great syllable pattern?

@smellyfingers I would never be so arrogant as to say that my piece should win but yes I'm happy with the way it flows, I wouldn't have put it up otherwise!

@smellyfingers My work being recognised or not was never what I was talking about though. I was merely pointing out that, in my opinion, this challenge has slipped from what it was.

@brownowl2012 but yet you are arrogant enough to say you do not approve of the winners choice of word??? In your posts comments you say you found this challenge tough but you thought you'd give it a go anyways......now IMO that says to me that you're not inspired or creative and made a half hearted attempt. So now I'm wondering if you are blaming the word for not giving you enough inspiration or that you just simply can't be arsed?? And I disagree with you or you wouldn't have commented here saying that the quality of entries has gone down due to the choice of word, all in your opinion. You see I'm a little confused by your comments here so maybe you could clarify for me? Are you saying your work isn't up to scratch and you're blaming the chosen word or are you saying the chosen word isn't inspiring you enough to create better work??

@smellyfingers You are being really quite offensive to me now. I never said that I did not approve of the chosen word, it is not my place to do that at all. I was simply wondering how it fitted into the โ€˜householdโ€™ theme. Following discussion Weirdwolf and I then decided to respect each otherโ€™s opinions and leave it at that. As for the rest of what youโ€™ve just said, I find it very hurtful that you think my loincloth entry is โ€˜half heartedโ€™ and that I am โ€˜not inspired or creativeโ€™ and โ€˜not up to scratchโ€™. I put work and feeling into all of my pieces, some come easier than others. My comment about finding this one tough was made because I did struggle to start with but I liked the idea that I had and so I worked at it until I had something I felt flowed. If you donโ€™t like it thatโ€™s fine but please keep that opinion to yourself. If I โ€˜couldnโ€™t be arsedโ€™ as you rather rudely put it then I wouldnโ€™t have posted anything at all would I.

@brownowl2012 I'm getting into any more rows, but think there's plenty of room for all genres and styles.. And of household inspires the odd day of humorous or rude limericks or poems then so bet it? Augustwriteaday is also running with fairly big topics.. Besides how could I carry on without the odd puerile fart joke? ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘

@brownowl2012 lol that should be, I'm NOTgetting into any more rows ๐Ÿ˜‰

@Burrfoot ๐Ÿ˜ณ I never realised how controversial loincloths were. Maybe that's why they invented the y-front??

๐Ÿ˜‚ with great power comes great responsibility.. With furry loincloth comes fleas

@Burrfoot I'm not saying there isn't a place for rude/silly rhymes. If they're well written then I enjoy a naughty giggle occasionally ๐Ÿ˜œWhat my point is though is that for the last few words silliness seems to have taken over somewhat. I'm not saying the writing isn't good, just that I personally think it isn't as good as it was or could be.

@Weirdwolf Lol maybe indeed! Sorry this has slightly erupted on your post btw. I didn't mean it to at all, just thought I had the right to an opinion.

@brownowl2012 no probs, it will go in circles ๐Ÿ‘

@Burrfoot I know and I would have given up earlier if I hadn't had my work and effort levels unkindly attacked! Still quite hurt

@brownowl2012 I meant the household challenge ๐Ÿ˜‰

@brownowl2012 We all have a right to opinions, and I think we should all have a group hug ๐Ÿ‘. Now then, as I can access my stuff again I have a lot of reading to do!!! Please don't be offended @brownowl2012, I'm sure @smellyfingers was just expressing his own opinion and did not mean to upset you. I know he can be very passionate when he writes and is truly a "good guy". ๐Ÿ˜‰

@Weirdwolf There's being passionate though and theres just rude. Nevermind, other people are clearly enjoying my work yourself included ๐Ÿ˜Š hug
