When I get to a gate
I look around and hear no sound
No doggies lay in wait
Just a minute hold your horses
Wait up, alas, alack
You played too cool you silly fool
The pussycat will attack
Just try to get those letters
To a letterbox
The best laid plan of a postman
You cannot cat outfox
So turn and run young postie
Your nightmare is in store
The cat will win, he'll shred your shin
When you approach my door
