I huff and I puff,
The little kitties just can't get enough,
I stomp and snort,
I'm in desperate need of support,
Every single one - GUILTY as charged!
Poetic criminals all once at large,
Now behind bars,
They dreamt too much of Mars,
And fast cars...
All thinking they are superstars!
Puft! I grumble and mumble,
The cells are going to crumble!
My prison is packed,
Every day I'm attacked!
Just one will 'meow',
And all ears will prick up to join the howl,
A shudder of excitement runs through the cages,
As they all long for new words
on new pages,
Withdrawal doesn't suit them well,
Matted coats and feeling like hell,
Beasts put under some addictive spell,
Good job this isn't a hotel.
I scurry down the passages,
Away from all the rhyming savages,
Time for my lunch break,
I'll just take my phone out for a peek...
