Is time really on our side?
It controls all we do
Is time our friend?
Or is it a foe?

I have so many plans
Places I want to go
Will time allow?
Or will it say no?

I have so much to see
Foods I want to taste
Will time just say?
Don't bother, it's a waste

I want to experience lots
A life so very full
Will time think not?
The plug of life it'll pull

I have so much yet to feel
New things I want to touch
Will life be cruel?
Thinking of life, I've had too much

We never really think of time
We just live our lives each day
Never paying attention
To what time may say

My dear dad had plans too
Beyond his retirement years
Then cancer and time
Told him all his fears

We get so caught up in time
Don't appreciate important things
I intend to live a full life
Regardless of what time brings
