Okay, so there's this guy and I kind of like him. We went out a couple years back and we were like to peas in a pod, we were best friends. When we get to high school, we go to different ones, and he starts to get awkward. I mean we had to break up cause of the separate high school thing but we could still be friends right? Anyway I saw him tonight and I said hi and all he gave wave and smile thing. He called me a stuck up snob cause I go to a good school and I don't know why he thinks that and whether he's hiding something. As I said, I'm really shy so saying something was really hard for me. I want to be friends again but I want to know why he's being so..... Odd? Please comment as I need some advice on how to handle this. Thank you :)

It's natural cos when I went to high school my friend was always really odd because she made new friends.
It's probably a huge mixture of 'stuff'... Jealousy / Still has some feelings for you / Feels awkward himself and is dealing with it in a typically bad way, etc, etc... People tend to push others away when they feel uncomfortable. I had a boyfriend for 19 months back when I was 16 and he STILL treats me like the plague NOW!! (He is now coming up for forty!!!!) Hopefully, this guy will learn to grow up at some point, but until then, if I were you, I'd just s
Was going to say...! 'Smile and wave' - that is to say, be civil, be nice, but don't go out of your way to catch his eye or question him, it'll probably just make it worse honey - he's most likely suffering a lot of embarrassment about himself. Hope it all works out 💙💙💙
He's probably acting this way since he hasn't seen you in such a long time and people change so much. He's been around different people for so long that's probably why he changed so much.
Thanks for all the comments please tell others as I would like to get a lot of ideas but thanks so much!! :)
he is probably acting that way because he doesnt know how to address you and he is just acting on how he feels . he just needs to get use to seeing you around a little more to become comfortible again were hecan act like his old himself
He might think he's not good or smart enough to be friends with someone who is in a better place of education. He might think you have moved on and don't want to know him because of your shyness this is what makes him think that. I don't know how a boys head works but this is an educated guess. Hope it helps. :)
