I stare into your dazzling eyes,
I'm proud of myself,
I created you both,
With a little help,
9 months in total,
I watched my bump grow,
I knitted every fibre inside,
From your head to your toes,
Giving birth was painful,
And it was a very long birth,
But for all of the pain and the time,
It was full of greatness and worth,
I wouldn't change that for a second,
A magical experience to endure,
The minute you arrived,
I forgot the pain I'm sure,
Watching you both grow,
From babies to little mini me's,
First words and first steps,
A complete delight to see,
Bryn you've started writing,
And you're recognising words,
You draw fabulous pictures,
Like swords and people and birds,
The other day you wrote mum,
And gave the paper to me,
Your little letters melted my heart,
And made me ecstatically happy,
Niquita you have tried so hard at school,
And shown so much strength and courage,
We've found the techniques that help you,
And you've began to improve and flourish,
Your heart is huge,
Even when people don't get you,
But they haven't got the first clue,
Of every challenge you've been through,
As I look into your eyes today,
I feel a great deal of emotion,
To see you both smile and hear your laughs,
Is like a calming happiness lotion,
I want to take the time today,
To write this little rhyme,
I'm honoured to be your doting mum,
When you're grown ill read you this sometime.
