Big houses, fast cars and all these delights
Are now a necessity in some people's lives
I want it less grand
And more down to earth
I actually have a demand
For a more relaxing pace
Our needs are never ending
With every new trend
Desiring and wanting all the things that can be blown by a wind
Rivalry consuming our soul
Surrounding our hearts, building a big wall
Hatred is eating us from inside
Faking everything and no longer kind
Sad how we all drifted apart
Divided by labels and forgetting how it was in the start
Materialistic monsters invaded our homes
With sublime messages they changed our cores
Take a break and just ask are you happier
Or are you always wanting more?
