My sincere apologies to all of you guys for my abrupt decision to quit Opuss, as I now see that quitting Opuss is quitting you all too, and you are all generous and encouraging.
What brought it all about was this; I was reading a piece by our friend Naavii, and in this piece she had used the structure of it to form scattered lines of text across the page (screen).
Now then, I love reading Nav's work, but this piece was difficult for me as the format wasn't regular, and I was unsure how it was meant to be construed.
At this point I have to disclose to you all that I have pretty shit vision (if I was a car, I'd fail my MOT), so much so, that I am blind in one eye (and I answer to the name Lucky). The other eye is in bad shape.
The point is, I had difficulty reading her piece, and I said so in a comment. Nav (bless her), defended her style - and rightly so - and I shrugged it off and continued reading her other comments regarding it.
I noticed a comment by our erstwhile friend Eddie12309 who complimented her piece, he stated that the style of format suited the theme of it, and he used a phrase I had never come across before, deconstructed typeset.
I thought nothing more of it until I was finishing my shift, and I asked a colleague wtf a deconstructed typeset was and she just looked at me like I was from Mars.
It stuck in my mind, and I started to dwell on it, getting more and more vexed (I shoulda just googled the fucker). In the end I convinced myself that if I didn't know what a deconstructed typeset was, then I must be a total dipshit.
Vexation then blossomed into anger at myself and in a fit of crank I wrote my Quit piece and deleted the app.
Ha ha. Yes I know you don't have to say it.
"You don't know what a fucking deconstructed typeset is? What are you, a fucking moron ??""
So again, my heartfelt apologies - especially to Nav, but to you all, the tone of concern in your comments really hit home and I regret my actions completely.
But please - no more big words !!
