LIVING WITH A BAD BOY

Chapter 15
JAKES POV

She wanted to stay with me. I smirked. She was here with me, in my arms asleep and she wanted to be here. I held onto her even though it hurt, I didn't want to lose her. I'd been here, like this, for 2 hours now.
"Mr Steinwood?" I looked up. To find a doctor at the door. "You're free to go" He saw Katie with me and smiled.
"Thanks" He left the room, closing the door silently so he wouldn't wake her. I didn't want to wake her. Was I strong enough to carry her? Maybe...
Probably, but i'd need a taxi first. Ugh. Taxis. I hadn't used one since I was little.

I left Katie on the bed and stepped out of the room, silently. After ordering a taxi I returned, she was still asleep. I slipped my arm around her and picked her up. She wasn't that heavy, so it didn't hurt too much. Bloody motorbike. i would have to buy a new one. Ugh. I hated doing that.
I carried her downstairs and placed her in the taxi when it got there. Damn. Her coat and bag.
"I'll be back in one minute. Please wait here" I ran up the stairs, ouch, and grabbed her bag and coat. I then returned to the taxi.
We soon arrived home and I took her in. I can't believe she actually slept through of all that. She must have been really tired. Why?
I put her on her bed. She looked so peaceful. I didn't want to move incase she woke.
I decided to stay with Katie that night. Waking up with her would be nice. I pulled off my shirt, shoes and jeans and put some sweat pants on. Topless, but who cared? I wrapped my arm tight around her stomach.
"I love you Katie" I whispered in her ear. Then I put my head on the pillow and fell asleep...

Katie's POV
I woke up in bed, at home, with jake. His arm snaked around me. My stomach filled with butterflies and I had to stop myself giggling from the feeling it gave me.
I turned in his arms so I was facing him. He was asleep, shirtless. God I loved that. I wonder how long we had been here. And how I got here? Jake wouldn't have carried me... Would he? I see no other way he could have taken me home.
I moved closer to him and snuggled my head into his chest. He stirred a little. Please don't wake up. Not yet.
His grip tightened a little but he didn't wake up. Thank god....

The next morning I woke up to Jake smiling down at me.
"What?" I asked. Was there something wrong with me? Did I have something on my face? Oh my god.
"Nothing" Oh thank god! "Just haven't really woke up exactly like this before. I kinda like it" I laughed and buried my face in my pillow.
"I love waking up like this" He told me.
"Why?"
"Coz' this..." He lay back on the be, his arm still around me. "... Is the life" I flicked him on the arm. "Ouch! What was that for?"
"For being you" I giggled.
"I know you love me like this though" Yeah... i did like him how he was. Maybe i just wouldn't admit that to him...
I tried to get up but he pulled me back.
"Where are you off to?" He asked, not letting go of me.
"Getting ready.... For school... You know that thing that you go to and it makes you smarter? Remember that?" I mocked.
"You aren't going today" I tried to think back. It isn't Saturday. It's not snowed. I haven't died. What other possible reason would I not be going to school because of...?
"I'm not?"
"No. Don't you remember what you said to me last night?" I tried to think back.... I don't remember saying that I wouldn't be going to school...
"Remind me"
"You said you would go on a date with me"
"Yeah.... And?"
"Well... I'm taking you on that date... Today"
"What about school?"
"School can wait.... You are smart enough" So this was why bad boys skipped class... They thought they were smart enough.
"But I've already missed one day this week" I moaned. My mom is going to kill me if she found out that I skipped or that I went to a party. Jake did something that I didn't think if ever see him do. He gave me puppy eyes... Oh my god that was adorable... Even on a bad boy.
"Fine" I gave in. Those eyes....
"YAY. Now go text Ethan, so he won't come over. I won't be able to stand seeing him"
"My phones in my coat. You brought that back right?" I asked him. Please tell me you brought it back.
"It's on your chair" I picked it up and pulled out my phone.
Text-Ethan.
'Hey, sorry I didn't call last night. I'm I'll Won't be in today. Sorry. :-('

My phone vibrated almost instantly.
Ethan.
'Get better soon. Ill come by after school tonight :-)'
I sent a text right back.
'Sure. Thanks Ethan :-)'
Yay day with Jake.

I got back in and snuggled down into jake's chest.
"You know, you are really good company" I told him.
"Just because you get to see my face and body when you're with me" I laughed.
We lay there for a few minutes before jake sat up and put his lips on mine.
It took me by surprise at first but then I started to kiss him back.
"See.. You can't fight the love you have for me" He whispered into my lips.
"I know" Oh god. I just admitted it. He kissed me more.
"Katie. I have something to tell you"
"What is it?"
"I can't tell you now. But one day I will"
"Ok..." I replied before kissing him again.

Where is jake going to take her? I wonder.... And what's Ethan going to do when he finds out that she likes jake too.
