CHAPTER 13

I showered, dressed and put my makeup on quickly. Well... I had to... I guess I would have to walk to school since jake and I weren't exactly on the best terms right now.
I found jake downstairs, he was up and ready. What was this for? Did he actually want to go to school today? I doubt that.
He was playing with his phone. Temple run. Why was everyone playing that game? I hated it, maybe it's because I couldn't play it. Probably..
When Jake saw me, he stood up from the couch. He threw his phone down. I stared at it, not wanting to look at him. He put me through a lot yesterday.
"I-I" Jake stuttered. "Ok. Yesterday"
"You scared me" I replied, still not looking at him.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that. Not to you anyway. Please look at me"
"Then why did you?" I snapped.
"I was angry. Probably about as angry as I'd ever been. At Ethan"
"Why?" I breathed out. There was a lot of anger inside of me. I had the right to be angry, didn't I? Of course I did.
"I can't answer that" what!?
"Why?"
"I can't answer that. It's too late anyway" He hissed. The anger inside me melted away. I felt bad. I felt bad for something I didn't do... At least I don't think I did anything...
"Are you ok? You aren't like in trouble, right?" Wow what was I? his mom!???

JAKES POV
She asked me if I was ok. After all that I did to her. She wanted to see If I was alright! Why?
"Come on it can't have been that bad"
"If you only knew how important it was" I replied. Important. Yes. Of course she was important. I just couldn't have her. Out of all the girls, I couldn't have the one I wanted most. Katie.
Ugh. Now you are starting to sound soppy jake... I need to forget... I need to get back to how I was.... Before Katie. BUT I CAN'T!!!
"What is it?" She asked.
"Nothing" I shook my head. She couldn't know. I wouldn't tell her, not yet.
"It's gotta be something" She persisted.
"It's nothing" I half shouted. Oh god.
"Oh" She looked down. This wasn't her fault. This was mine. She shouldn't have this.
"I'm sorry" I ran a hand through my hair. "It's just complicated"
"It's alright. It's your business" It was hers too but she just didn't know it yet.
"My mom isn't going to be back until next week" She nodded.
"Just you and me then I guess" I nodded back.
"So... do you want me to-" I was going to say give you a ride to school, but was cut off by the beep of a horn. She went to the window and smiled. No.....
"Its Ethan" She giggled. "What's he doing here?" She ran to the door. "Ethan? What brings you here this early?"
"I'm taking you to school. Isn't it obvious?" He shouted from his car. His convertible car. You know he only bought that so more girls would like him. Oh god Katie is going to end up so hurt if she is with him. She really is. She giggled lightly.
"Ok! Give me a second" She ran back into for her bag and I grabbed her wrist.
"Don't go with him" I told her firmly. For her own protection she needed to listen to me. Please listen to me. If she didn't want me.... Fine, but she can't be with Ethan. Why did she have to get that bloody detention? Why??!???
"Why?" She asked me.
"Because I don't want you to go" she looked at me, an annoyed look in her eyes.
"I need a better reason than that Jake"
"Fine. You know what go with him" I half shouted. No. No. No. Let me take it back.
"What is with you?" She huffed and pulled her arm free before running out of the door.
I kicked the wall hard. Ethan has her! Ethan! Ethan! Ethan! And he wont let her go! I ran outside jumped on my bike and sped off. I didn't know where or when I was going to stop... And I didn't care...
