I'd Give It If I Could.

I am not being mean and cruel,
but these are one of my hates.

I have a bone to pick,
If your one of those guys,
Who if I throw away food,
Says and deeply sighs:
'Starving kids in Africa
Would kill for a bite. '
I'd give them it if possible,
So save all your spite.
If a half eaten sandwich
We're to travel all the way,
It would probably grow mouldy,
In less then a day.
It could maybe be confiscated,
So save a trip and tetanus shot.
It would all be in vain,
It would get there and rot.
Don't let down those kids,
Awaiting a tiny munch
Of a half eaten sarnie,
That's just been my lunch.
So the moral of this story,
Is don't go moaning,
I'd give it to them if poss'
But I can't ; stop groaning.
