Autopilot

We have the same conversation,
Just circling around,
About me looking up,
While you stare down,
It seems a lot about nothing,
A fuss I create from thin air,
But you say the same things,
It's like you're never really there,
Frustration boils over,
We run our separate ways,
Forever coming back to this,
The "talk" haunting our days,
There's a simple solution -
Won't you just hold my hand,
Smile, say it'll be ok -
There really is a plan?
I just don't see it happening,
You've been left too long,
Stuck on autopilot mode;
A record with just one song,
I start to wonder,
"What is the point?"
Perhaps you don't want different,
And I should just leave this joint.

Living, Together

We should be living. together. Instead we seem to live. apart. It seems that we. never. Have matching feelings in. our heart. You say potato, I say. to-may-to. Yet we pretend they're both. the same.

Hey

Hey you, where've you been. Quite a while since I've seen. Your face around my neighbourhood. Give me a call, if you would. It's ages since that winter walk. When we had our final talk.

I'm the worst for getting stuck on autopilot, it's not till after I'm out of the situation or read something like this I realise, I am trying very hard to stop it because it can be a strain on my relationships. Great write👏👏

@Stablish - oh thank you for that honest comment, I certainly understand the strain on relationships. I just wonder how some of us get stuck in that autopilot mode...?

@naaviie easily done hunny, it's called routine. Most of us need it, some thrive without it. Tricky thing to break once you're in one too. The question is, just how comfy can you be within it? I'm fairly stuck in my routine, work, sleep etc but it pays the way and I'm pretty comfy in it, but only because without the job and the money it gives, there'd be no routine to have. But without it I'd probably be robbing banks and getting caught because I've stopped to write about it... 😂😂 Hope you're not thinking of walking because of it....men need training you know! 👍👍 Great stuff my lil' Bucket'O'Love ❤😘

Maybe it's an escape from everything, without having to think you just function with no clear conscience thought. My ex was the worst at this, @leelee101 is right, routine is needed but also remembering why you're doing what you do, what's the end goal and who is it for? You can't spell function without FUN. Does that make sense? The cold has numbed my brain.

@chickgamer all good LJ 👍👍

Awww, hope it works out. I think men find routine comforting, one less thing to think about. You'll figure something to shake things up😉

@leelee101 @chickgamer @ckahn - I'm all for routine, it's usually very positive but if you have a habit of negative thinking and self pity like my man does I get frustrated and upset to see him to it to himself. Then I feel bad for telling him off about it sigh. 😥 Thanks for the support 💚

@naaviie horses for course hunny. If you love him, and it's a part of him... 👍❤❤

@leelee101 you are completely right, oh wise one 💚 all sorted now.... Tangled wires and long term solutions ☺

@naaviie glad to hear it hunny 👍❤❤❤
