I'm not sure if I dreamt this but I think I heard somewhere that the plan in the USA to combat gun crime is to put armed police in every school. So their idea to stop needless loss of life through gun crime is to put more guns in play.....that sounds exactly like the American way

@blindsilence appropriately enough it was the head of the NRA that put it forward to congress.....and although that may only represent one mans view, his voice is obviously loud enough that we in the UK have reported it in our press
Like I said...I know this was one mans view, but the fact that he is the linchpin to a group with over 4 million members/backers has got to be a worry. You have kind of made my point for me by bringing up this "Death Star" petition....I haven't seen this reported over here so it was obviously deemed un-newsworthy
@blindsilence π.....just to make things clear, I am not for a second lumping all Americans into one gun loving group here, I just wish the sensible people of the US stood up and let their voices be heard over the morons
