Extinct

An alligator worked out it's top of the food chain
He hid in the swampy rivers and reeds in the rain
Silent and still waiting for its prey
Along swam a crocodile with no fear today

The gator approached the croc but the croc didn't care
His body was hid but his eyes were aware
When the gator reached the croc they both just stared
The croc said you look like me my dear
Yet you are smaller so I guess my ancestors lived around here

The gator and the croc exchanged views
Twisting and swimming for some more identifiable clues
The croc asked the gator if he was going to move
The gator said no and the croc was confused

The gator smiled as his eyes blinked
The croc asked why the gator winked
The gator said his brothers have surrounded them and the croc will get eaten
The croc just smiled and replied "well man is over there on the shore so I guess now we'll all be extinct"
